On April 29th, The Manga Critic turned ten. I’d hoped to mark the occasion with a new site–and maybe an essay humble-bragging about the time Roger Ebert retweeted me–but decided to postpone the celebration until September, when my schedule is less hectic. In the meantime, I will be sporadically updating the site with new reviews, weeding out old link posts, and reorganizing the site for easier navigation. Content-wise, my goal for the summer is to focus on what I do best–reviewing–and leave news and industry commentary to the sites that do that best–Anime News Network, Comics Beat, ICv2, and Publisher’s Weekly.
I also plan to have a more active, manga-focused presence on Twitter; come say hi to me @manga_critic, and look for new articles. And while you’re on Twitter, I encourage you to keep tabs on what all the Manga Bookshelf crew are saying and doing by following our collective feed (@mangabookshelf). Thanks for reading!
